The Prado Museum has launched an innovative collaboration with Paccari, a well-known brand of organic and sustainable chocolate, with the aim of creating an exclusive collection of chocolate bars that merge classical art with the pleasure of tasting premium chocolate. This partnership not only highlights the quality of the products, but also a strong commitment to sustainability and creativity.
The collection includes two chocolate bars, each designed with meticulous detail that pays homage to two masterpieces from the Prado Museum: “The Garden of Earthly Delights” by El Bosco, and “Crossing of the Styx” by Patinir. These bars not only aim to attract the most discerning palates, but also offer a sensory experience that combines the aesthetic appreciation of art with the pleasure of chocolate.
The first bar, titled “Raw 70% Cacao and The Garden of Earthly Delights,” is inspired by the iconic dragon painted by El Bosco, using cocoa in its purest form. The second, called “Cuzco Salt with cocoa nibs and Crossing of the Styx,” combines cocoa with salt from the Sacred Valley and crunchy nibs, evoking the magical atmosphere of the orange tree that appears in the work of Patinir.
Paccari, which means “nature” in Quechua, has established itself as a reference in the organic chocolate industry over the years. Santiago Peralta, its founder, has expressed that this collaboration with the Prado Museum is a tribute to respect for art, culture, and sustainability. “It is an honor to be able to partner with such a prestigious institution,” he asserts, highlighting the importance of integrating art and taste with responsible practices.
The chocolate bars, designed with an environmental conscience, will be available exclusively in the official store of the Prado Museum and on its website, at a price of €6.00. This initiative is shaping up as a perfect gift option for those who value the combination of art, taste, and sustainability. Beyond offering a new way to enjoy art, this collaboration sets a precedent in the way cultural and commercial partnerships can be carried out, while also encouraging responsible consumption.
