Formación Universitaria has been recognized in the XI Edition of the CEPYME 2024 Awards for being awarded in the SME category for Equality. This recognition highlights the organization’s commitment to promoting equity and inclusion in the business world. The award ceremony took place on March 5 at the Banco Santander auditorium in Madrid, and it was attended by prominent figures from the government, including President Pedro Sánchez and the Minister of Labor and Social Economy, Yolanda Díaz.
The award was received by the Human Resources director, Mamen Beloso, and the administration manager of students, María Luisa Parra, who received it from the president of CEPYME, Gerardo Cuerva, and the general director of Visa Spain, Eduardo Prieto. The CEPYME Awards are well recognized within the Spanish business environment and aim to identify and reward small and medium-sized companies that stand out for their innovation, their contribution to local economic development, and their ability to face market challenges.
The ceremony concluded with speeches from the winning company of the SME of the Year award, Grupo Clasol, and the President of the Government himself, who emphasized the importance of promoting equality in the workplace.
The achievements obtained by Formación Universitaria are a reflection not only of effort but also of concrete actions. Their candidacy was supported by various initiatives that demonstrate their commitment to gender equality in the workplace, highlighting that 91% of their staff is composed of women and that there is a 50% female representation in their management team. In addition, the institution has implemented measures that facilitate work-life balance, creating an inclusive and equitable working environment for all its employees.
Formación Universitaria, committed to diversity, is a signatory of the Diversity Charter of the Diversity Foundation and actively works on the inclusion of individuals regardless of their gender, age, culture, origin, or social condition. Since its foundation in 2001, it has trained more than 200,000 students from over 90 countries, and its Solidarity Scholarship program, in collaboration with several social organizations, demonstrates its vocation to democratize access to quality education.
