Damn Good Tales and Panorama Studios Join Forces to Bring ‘Drishyam’ to the Spanish Audience

Damn Good Tales and Panorama Studios have announced their collaboration to produce the official Spanish remake of the hit film “Drishyam.” This film, which has received critical acclaim and achieved significant commercial success worldwide, also has a popular adaptation in China that grossed over $191 million.

This partnership marks a milestone in integrating India’s rich storytelling traditions with Spain’s vibrant film landscape. The close remake of the story promises to resonate with local audiences, maintaining the suspense and emotional depth that made the original a global phenomenon.

Juan Manuel Borbolla, CEO of Damn Good Tales, expressed his excitement about partnering with Panorama Studios and Jack Nguyen, the project’s executive producer, who has been instrumental in bringing the remake to fruition. “The complexity of the plot and universal themes like family, love, and sacrifice will attract Spanish viewers. We aim to assemble an exceptional talent team to honor the original and create a high-impact film in Spanish cinema,” said Borbolla.

Jack Nguyen, former executive at Warner Bros., conveyed his enthusiasm for this collaboration, considering it a natural step for such a great story. “I’m excited to help them make history with this Indo-Spanish co-production, the first of its kind,” he stated.

The cast of the remake will be led by Juan Sebastián Vásquez, known for his performance in “Upon Entry,” and will feature Alberto Ammann, recognized for his role in “Narcos.” Abhishek Pathak, managing director of Panorama Studios, emphasized the importance of bringing the “Drishyam” franchise to the Spanish market, anticipating that this remake will be a perfect blend of the thrilling plot of the original work and Spain’s unique culture.

Filming will take place in various picturesque locations across the country, promising to deliver a captivating visual experience. With this project, Damn Good Tales and Panorama Studios not only aim to create an entertaining film but also to highlight the universal narrative that has made “Drishyam” a global success.
