Decoration Revolution: Disruptive Trends for 2025

Industrias Deymo has recently highlighted the information provided by El Mueble portal about the decoration trends that are shaping up for the next year 2025. According to this information, the new year will bring a break from the established interior design trends so far, introducing new colors, shapes, and innovative textures.

In 2025, home decoration is destined to experience a significant transformation. The prevalence of light tones and environments dominated by natural wood are being left behind, making way for a much bolder and darker aesthetic, known as the molcajete trend. This aesthetic trend marks a complete turn in the use of colors and materials, opting for a deeper color palette and the incorporation of elements from the natural environment.

The term molcajete comes from the traditional Mexican mortar made of volcanic stone, highlighted for its dark gray color. Nowadays, interior design experts have adopted this name to describe a style characterized by the use of dark colors and natural materials, such as ebony or volcanic stone. The molcajete trend is distinguished by the use of shades like black, deep grays, and hints of coffee, emphasizing elegance and pure textures. In this context, pieces made with volcanic stones will become central elements of the decoration.

For those who prefer not to make a total renovation in their home, there are various ways to integrate these new trends. One option is to use cement lamps, which provide indirect light with a minimalist and warm touch. In the case of tables, black fiberglass can be a standout element to transform a dining room into a space full of elegance. Comfort will not be compromised with these changes; incorporating black pleated cotton blankets will add textures and maintain comfort. Black linen cushions can complement the decoration, adding a polished touch and following the line of dark tones.

These new trends propose a bold and sophisticated redesign of interior spaces, inviting to experiment with an aesthetic that prioritizes elegance and the use of natural materials.
