Definition of Presentations and Program of the 2nd Congress on Windows, Facades, and Solar Protection organized by ASEFAVE

The Spanish Association of Manufacturers of Light Facades and Windows (ASEFAVE) has unveiled the program for the second edition of the International Congress on Windows, Facades, and Solar Protection. Supported by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Agenda and the Ministry of Industry, the event will take place over two days and will gather leading experts from the sector.

The opening will be led by Jorge Jimeno, head of the General Sub-Directorate for Quality and Industrial Safety, who will discuss the new European construction products regulation RPC 2024. Following him, María Teresa Verdú, Director General of Urban Agenda and Architecture, will speak on the new Basic Document of Sustainability (DB HSA) of the Technical Building Code.

With the support of the Eduardo Torroja Institute for Construction Sciences, the congress will address current topics such as artificial intelligence in construction, modular prefabrication, and the challenges of the European Energy Efficiency Directive. Discussions will also cover the impact of the European regulation, the carbon footprint in construction, the climate challenge, and safety in light facades.

Representatives from companies like Alucoil, ANTAL, Arup, Efectis, and Tecnalia will share their insights and analyses. The variety of presentations by the Technical Committee highlights a commitment to innovation and improvement in the sector.

This year, the event anticipates 450 attendees, a significant increase from the first edition in 2023. Participants will come from various locations in Spain, as well as other countries in Europe and Ibero-America, demonstrating global interest in these topics.

ASEFAVE, founded in July 1977, brings together leading manufacturers of windows, facades, and solar protection systems in Spain. Its Board of Directors, led by Miguel Robles, coordinates the interests of the sector and its associated companies.
