Adecco Learning & Consulting has launched an initiative that will offer free courses aimed at improving the digital skills of over 12,500 people in various provinces of Andalusia. This project has a special focus on vulnerable groups, such as the unemployed, individuals over 45 years old, and migrants residing in rural areas. Classes will begin on April 23rd and are designed to help those who lack fundamental digital skills in an increasingly connected environment.
The courses will take place in the provinces of Jaén, benefiting 6,565 people, in Granada with 4,959 participants, and in Almería with 979. The main goal is to reduce the digital divide in these regions and enhance job opportunities in the agricultural sector, which is constantly transforming due to digitalization.
Arturo Carvajal Campos, Public Tender Projects Coordinator at Adecco Learning & Consulting, emphasized the importance of providing digital skills to those who need it most. “Our challenge is to ensure that no one is left behind in such a digitalized environment. We seek to offer practical tools that allow field workers to navigate confidently in the digital world,” Carvajal stated.
The courses will cover a variety of topics, including introduction to digital skills, productivity and collaboration tools on mobile devices, information management, use of social networks, and e-commerce. Additionally, there will be training in digital marketing aimed at small businesses in rural tourism and agricultural products.
This effort is part of the Agricultural Employment Promotion Plan (PROFEA) and is funded by the European Union’s Recovery and Resilience Mechanism (MRR). Through this partnership with the Public State Employment Service (SEPE), the goal is to promote social inclusion and improve the basic skills necessary to interact effectively with contemporary technologies.
