EANAN, an innovative company in advanced air mobility solutions, has successfully conducted the test flight of its “RIKAZ” model, an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) designed for heavy cargo with vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) capabilities. This event marks a significant milestone for EANAN on its path towards commercializing its drone technology, which promises to revolutionize logistics and transportation in the region.
EANAN’s heavy cargo drone underwent rigorous testing to gather valuable information on its automated flight controls, navigation systems, stability of communication systems, and ability to handle heavy loads. The transformable UAV can carry a payload of 50 kg and increase its capacity to 200 kg, reaching a flight speed of up to 60 kilometers per hour. It can recharge in just 15 minutes with a 16-kilowatt-hour capacity and has a maximum flight range of 30 kilometers. These components are essential to ensure safe and efficient operations in various environments.
Ulrich Weckx, CEO of EANAN, expressed pride in this achievement and its alignment with Dubai’s vision of leading urban air mobility through the adoption of advanced transportation technologies. Meanwhile, Mashaal Al Marzooqi, EANAN’s Director of R&D, emphasized the importance of RIKAZ drone’s communication stability to ensure safe operation in complex airspace or during delicate missions.
The rise of e-commerce in the Middle East has created a growing need for faster, more efficient, and sustainable delivery solutions. Government initiatives like DEWA’s R&D Center and the Dubai Future Foundation have fostered a thriving ecosystem for drone technology in the region. With the ability to navigate traffic density and reach remote areas, EANAN’s heavy cargo drone could significantly transform logistics and supply chain operations.
EANAN is moving towards commercializing its drones, focusing on developing viable solutions for urban air mobility. This includes rigorous testing to meet operational demands and regulatory requirements necessary for commercial deployment, especially in highly specialized markets like the UAE.
The company is dedicated to developing a complete fleet of zero-emission aircraft, contributing to Dubai’s vision of being a smart and sustainable city. EANAN’s drone models, including RIKAZ and GHAITH, showcase their commitment to innovation and the future of urban air mobility in the United Arab Emirates. Through collaboration with local and international experts, EANAN aims to transform transportation and make a significant contribution to the economy and society with its advanced technological solutions.
