ERSM Grupo has closed the year 2024 with a significant growth, reaching commission revenues of 55 million euros, representing a 44.7% increase compared to the 38 million invoiced in 2023. This increase far exceeds the Spanish insurance sector average, which stands at 8% in the Non-Life branch, according to a study by ICEA.
The intermediary group has also managed a total of 336 million euros in premiums, representing a 34.4% increase from the previous year. This achievement allows ERSM to successfully surpass the 300 million euros barrier in intermediated premiums, reaching this goal ahead of schedule in its strategic plan, developed with Soderberg & Partners.
ERSM’s growth has been driven by strong organic growth and the acquisition of new brokerages, such as García-Ochoa and Albroksa. Salvador Vilallonga, CEO of ERSM, highlighted that the key to this strategy has been to combine teams and talents without losing the identity of each brokerage. This approach has strengthened its presence in the market and improved customer service, enabling the group to achieve the expansion plan objectives one year ahead of schedule.
With a network that includes 35 companies and 320,000 clients, ERSM Grupo presents a balanced business distribution. 48% of processed policies correspond to the mobility sector, especially in auto insurance, while 36% is allocated to the corporate sector and 16% to personal and private insurance. This diversification has been crucial for the group to adapt to market trends and reinforce its synergies, supported by the service lines of its flagship brokerage, ERSM Insurance Brokers.
Furthermore, ERSM’s Claims Department, with over 25 professionals, handled nearly 57,000 cases in the last year, ranging from car accidents to complex cases with high indemnity volumes in the corporate sphere.
With these results, ERSM Grupo consolidates itself as one of the leading players in the Spanish brokerage market, surpassing the sector’s average evolution and reaffirming that its strategy of combining organic growth and new alliances has been crucial in successfully achieving the established objectives in its strategic plan, even ahead of schedule.
