Expanding Copilot+ Experiences on AMD, Intel, and Snapdragon Devices

Last year, Copilot+ PCs were introduced to the market, considered the fastest, smartest, and most secure Windows computers ever created. Since their launch, this line has constantly evolved, incorporating new components and artificial intelligence-driven experiences that adapt to users’ needs and empower them to achieve more.

At the core of Windows evolution is a strong commitment to accessibility. This translates into a series of updates that seek to revolutionize how users interact with their Copilot+ PCs. Among the key highlights is the Live Captions feature, available on devices using AMD and Intel processors. This tool provides real-time translations to English of audiovisual content, enhancing the experience during video conferences, podcasts, or video viewing. The feature, which was already present on Copilot+ PCs with Snapdragon technology, also has plans to include translations in simplified Chinese, expanding its accessibility.

In addition to Live Captions, significant improvements have been made to Voice Access, a tool designed to allow users to control their PC through voice commands, making navigation easier for individuals with mobility disabilities.

Creativity has also been an essential aspect of these updates. AI-based tools that were previously exclusive to Snapdragon technology devices are now available for AMD and Intel PCs. Among these features is Cocreator in the Paint application, which allows users to mix text prompts with hand-drawn sketches to create custom designs. Restyle Image and Image Creator functionalities are also introduced in the Photos application, making it easier to transform images into artworks and create photos from textual descriptions.

These innovations will be implemented through the March 2025 update for Windows, which will be gradually rolled out to the public over the next month. Users will be able to access these new features by ensuring their Microsoft Paint and Photos applications are updated to the latest versions.

The future promises great advancements in personal computing. Copilot+ PCs not only represent a vision of what is to come, but they are already here. These advanced devices offer unique experiences in using artificial intelligence, ensuring that Windows users have the necessary tools to carry out their tasks more efficiently and personalized. Owners of a Copilot+ PC will be able to access these exciting features through the latest Windows update or in the Microsoft Store.
