Expansion of the Business Copilot+ Portfolio for PC

Microsoft has taken a significant step in the world of smart devices by introducing new additions to its Copilot+ line of business PCs. With the growing impact of artificial intelligence (AI) in the business sector, the demand for computers that deliver high performance and robust security has notably increased. The new additions to the Surface series for businesses include the 12-inch Surface Pro and the 13-inch Surface Laptop, both designed to optimize productivity and mobility for workers.

These devices are equipped with the Snapdragon X Plus processor, which includes a neural processing unit (NPU) capable of performing up to 45 trillion operations per second. This capability allows users to benefit from more efficient local AI processing, resulting in superior performance and extended battery life—crucial factors for those who regularly work outside the office.

The 13-inch Surface Laptop, the most portable option in the lineup, features an ultra-slim and lightweight design, along with the longest battery life in Surface history, reaching up to 23 hours of video playback. Meanwhile, the 12-inch Surface Pro stands out not only for its lightness and versatility but also for its ability to offer up to 16 hours of local video playback, making it ideal for maintaining productivity at any time of day.

Both devices have been designed with a focus on security. With the inclusion of the “Secure Future” initiative, Microsoft has ensured that these new models incorporate technologies that prevent phishing and malware attacks, thus protecting critical business information. Additionally, features such as facial recognition and fingerprint readers have been implemented to facilitate secure access.

One of the greatest advancements is the integration of AI functionalities that allow users to quickly find documents and information through a new semantic search system. This improvement can make locating files and settings up to 70% faster compared to previous versions of Windows.

Microsoft has also emphasized sustainability in the design of its new devices. Both models use recycled materials, notably incorporating recycled cobalt in the batteries, thereby reinforcing its commitment to the environment and reducing electronic waste.

The availability of these new devices will begin on July 22 in selected markets, offering businesses the opportunity to equip their employees with cutting-edge technology that enhances both operational efficiency and security at a critical time of digital transformation.
