FCC Environmental Services Expands Its Presence in Minnesota

The city of Minneapolis has signed a significant contract with FCC Environmental Services for the operation of its Urban Solid Waste Transfer Station. This agreement, which represents the company’s second contract in the state of Minnesota, has an expected duration of up to five years and could reach a value of 8.3 million dollars (approximately 7.3 million euros).

FCC Environmental Services, recognized as one of the leading companies in waste management and recycling in the United States, will be responsible for the maintenance of the station, as well as the transport of construction and demolition waste, and urban solid waste. To improve its operations, the company has planned to invest approximately half a million dollars in the purchase of new equipment, which will include three specialized vehicles and 18 new containers. This project is also expected to generate local employment, promoting community development.

The contract reflects FCC’s growth and increasing presence in the country, where the company seeks to share its experience and innovative processes in waste management with various municipalities. The company has been characterized by its focus on sustainability and efficiency, offering environmentally responsible solutions to cities in need of waste management support.
