Fernando Alonso drives a Buggy in the new Flexicar commercial.

Flexicar, the leading company in the used car sector in Spain, has launched a new advertising campaign starring Formula 1 driver Fernando Alonso. This commercial, which combines a humorous approach with a clear message about the three-year warranty offer for buyers, aims to grab consumers’ attention with a familiar and respected face.

The choice of Alonso as the brand ambassador is no coincidence. With his renowned competitive spirit and pursuit of excellence, the two-time world champion embodies the values that Flexicar wishes to convey to its customers. This collaboration with an internationally renowned figure symbolizes the company’s commitment to innovation and building trust in the sector.

The 20-second commercial is set on a golf course. In this scene, Alonso is shown driving a buggy at an unusually slow speed. The comedic interaction intensifies when Josep Pedrerol, a well-known advertising figure for the company since 2022, catches up to him and suggests he speed up. Alonso’s response, “Every moment in life calls for a car,” sets the humorous tone of the spot. Pedrerol reminds him that the car must be purchased at Flexicar, to which Alonso affirms, “Josep, I’ll buy the car at Flexicar.”

This commercial is part of a rebranding strategy that Flexicar has decided to implement, focused on improving the customer experience. The Flexicar team, along with MIO Group and production company Boutique 77, was responsible for creating the spot, which reflects the modernization of its image and services.

The investment in this restructuring is aimed at incorporating innovative technologies that optimize both internal and external processes, in order to maximize customer satisfaction throughout all phases of purchase.

Since its founding in 2012, the Flexicar Group has shown significant growth in the mobility sector in Spain. In addition to selling used cars, the company has expanded its offerings to include motorcycles, eco-friendly vehicles, and car rentals. Recently, the company also acquired 25% of Grupo Autocaravanas Norte, opening new horizons in the caravaning sector. By 2024, Flexicar is expected to reach a turnover of €1 billion, with nearly 92,000 buying and selling transactions completed. Its network spans almost all provinces of Spain and extends to Portugal, with more than 150 dealerships and around 1,800 dedicated employees.
