FREMAP has achieved significant recognition in the field of cybersecurity by obtaining certification of compliance with the National Security Scheme (NSS) in its High category. This distinction was awarded by AENOR during an event that took place last Monday, March 31 at FREMAP’s headquarters in Majadahonda.
This significant achievement highlights FREMAP’s strong commitment to protecting the information of its mutualists and collaborators, especially in an era where digitization and data management are becoming increasingly critical. The National Security Scheme, established by Royal Decree 311/2022, sets out a series of principles and requirements aimed at ensuring that information handled by both public entities and service providers is properly protected.
The certification covers all corporate information systems used in FREMAP’s centers, which are essential for their proper functioning. This milestone adds to the ISO 27001 certification that FREMAP obtained in 2018, demonstrating a management model that prioritizes continuous improvement and essential aspects such as the integrity, confidentiality, availability, traceability, and authenticity of information.
FREMAP’s General Director, Josu Esarte, expressed his satisfaction with this achievement, stating that “it is not just a quality seal; it is the result of the effort and dedication of our professionals.” He emphasized the relevance of this recognition in their aspiration for excellent management and their commitment to data protection in an increasingly interconnected environment.
Obtaining accreditation of the NSS in the High category not only validates compliance with strict security standards but also represents the Mutual’s strategy to advance in innovation and resilience against future technological challenges. Thus, FREMAP reaffirms its commitment to information security, a fundamental value that ensures the trust of its mutualists, collaborators, and society as a whole.
