Fujitsu has announced the expansion of its strategic collaboration with NVIDIA to develop a comprehensive artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure that integrates AI agents and enhances industrial transformation. This initiative aims to increase the competitiveness of businesses across various sectors while maintaining their autonomy in using these technologies.
The emphasis of this collaboration lies in creating a customizable AI agent platform tailored to industries such as healthcare, manufacturing, and robotics. To achieve this, Fujitsu’s FUJITSU-MONAKA CPU series will be combined with NVIDIA GPUs via NVIDIA NVLink Fusion. This approach will enable the formation of a complete AI infrastructure, where agents will continuously learn and adapt, overcoming the limitations of traditional computing systems.
Fujitsu plans to initiate this process in Japan, with the intention of promoting widespread adoption of AI and enhancing competitiveness across all sectors, while also contributing to the construction of a more sustainable society. Takahito Tokita, CEO of Fujitsu, emphasized the importance of this joint effort to accelerate AI-driven business transformation, highlighting that Japan, as a global leader in manufacturing, will be one of the first beneficiaries of this collaboration.
Jensen Huang, founder and CEO of NVIDIA, stressed that the AI industrial revolution is underway, necessitating the construction of the proper infrastructure to support it. This agreement represents the union of two technological giants committed to innovation in the industry.
Among the strategic objectives of this collaboration are the development of a customizable AI agent platform for different sectors and needs, as well as the creation of advanced computing infrastructure to facilitate broader AI adoption in the industry. Additionally, there is an aim to encourage active customer participation through transformative use cases and to establish a robust ecosystem that ensures access to these technologies.
Fujitsu anticipates that, thanks to this partnership, new AI markets will open in sectors that have previously been challenging, laying the groundwork for a digital society in Japan by 2030 and accelerating the growth of the enterprise AI market, which will generate significant social value.
