In a context of increasing popularity of personal mobility vehicles, the companies Cosmo Connected and Allianz Partners have introduced Fusion+, an innovative proposal that combines a high-tech connected helmet with integrated accident insurance for one year. This launch, considered the first in Europe, arises from the growing concern for the safety of micromobility users, a phenomenon that has gained importance in recent years.
Micromobility, which includes devices such as electric scooters and bicycles, has revolutionized the way people move around. However, this boom is not without risks. According to the DGT’s Fatal Accident Report, hospitalizations related to personal mobility accidents multiplied by six between 2020 and 2024, as did the number of fatalities. This alarming situation has led many users to not be fully aware of the need for adequate insurance to provide them with protection.
Fusion+ is presented as the solution to this need, offering not only a helmet that ensures physical protection, but also financial security in case of an accident. Romain Afflelou, CEO of Cosmo Connected, highlighted: “With Fusion+, we take a big step forward: it is the only helmet on the market that provides both physical protection and financial security for users.” This innovative helmet includes features such as a smart rear light, fall detection, and active signaling, aspects that strengthen its role as a safety element.
María Cristina Lama, representative of Allianz Partners, emphasized the company’s commitment to adapting its products to the new realities of mobility. “The priority for Allianz Partners is to ensure that our customers can move around safely,” she stated, adding that the collaboration with Cosmo Connected will allow users to enjoy a safer driving experience.
Fusion+ will be available in both physical stores and online sales platforms, including major retailers such as Fnac, Darty, and Amazon. This accessibility will allow a greater number of users to have access to this comprehensive solution, marking a possible significant step towards a safer future for those who choose micromobility as their means of transportation.
