Great start to the 12th edition of the Guadalajara MTB Circuit in the Valdesaz II race.

The XII Edition of the MTB Circuit of the Provincial Council of Guadalajara was held last weekend, starting off spectacularly with the MTB race in Valdesaz. This event saw a record-breaking participation of 359 registered participants, a notable increase compared to the previous year. Out of the participants, 301 cyclists successfully completed the route, which remained in excellent condition despite the recent rain.

Hector Guerra, an experienced cyclist in the Master 45 category, took first place in the long route, finishing the race in an impressive time of 2 hours, 18 minutes, and 4 seconds. Meanwhile, Maria Sancho stood out in the female category, crossing the finish line in 3 hours, 9 minutes, and 37 seconds.

The event organization, led by the Valdesaz Festivities Committee and the Eload Team, expressed their satisfaction with the competition’s development. The team organizers emphasized the success in participation, exceeding last year’s registrations by over a hundred, and also increased the categories, including a specific one for senior women.

Despite the winter weather affecting much of the country in March, the day offered ideal conditions for mountain biking, with sun and optimal terrain. The race started promptly at ten in the morning, accompanied by music from AC/DC. Additionally, a new electric BMW X3 was presented, highlighting the event’s commitment to sustainability.

The route maintained similarities with previous editions, although Race Director Jonatan Díaz explained that small adjustments were made to ensure the safety of the cyclists. The route unfolded amidst challenging landscapes, providing an adrenaline-filled experience for all participants.

The event not only attracted local competitors but also brought together cyclists from different provinces, showcasing the appeal of the Guadalajara circuit. The festive atmosphere, with the support of the community, brought together over a thousand people in Valdesaz, creating a lively and camaraderie-filled environment.

Participants from various parts of Spain expressed their satisfaction with the organization and the event’s quality. It is anticipated that the next race in the circuit, scheduled for April 13 in Peñalver, will attract even more cyclists ready to face new challenges.
