The Herbalife Family Foundation (HFF) has recently announced a generous donation of over one million dollars to support 32 non-profit organizations spread across Europe and Africa. This significant financial contribution, totaling $1,029,000, is intended to improve the living conditions of children and disadvantaged communities through strengthening the Herbalife Casa Program. This program works closely with local entities to provide essential resources and enhance the well-being of the communities it serves.
Chris Stirk, who leads Herbalife’s division in Europe and Africa, has highlighted the positive impact of this funding, noting that it aims not only to provide vital resources but also to create opportunities for children to access proper education and nutrition. According to him, the collaborative effort of Herbalife employees and independent distributors is key to achieving a lasting and significant impact in these communities.
José Ramón Jiménez Jiménez, fundraising manager at Aldeas Infantiles SOS Spain, has emphasized the relevance of partnerships like the one they have with the Herbalife Family Foundation. According to Jiménez, this collaboration is crucial to ensure proper nutrition and access to essential links for the full development of children, firmly defending that place of birth should not be a determining factor in their future opportunities.
In 2024, HFF plans to award $5 million in grants to 164 organizations worldwide, reaching 59 countries. This ambitious goal is supported by the dedication of Herbalife distributors and employees, who actively participate in fundraising efforts and contribute personal resources to support local programs focused on combating food insecurity and supporting families in need. It is expected that the effects of this funding will benefit hundreds of thousands of children globally.
Among the beneficiaries in Europe and Africa are organizations such as Aldeas Infantiles SOS (based in Spain and Lesotho), Deutsches Kinderhilfswerk e.V. (Germany), Acres of Love (South Africa), Kalben (Turkey), and Het Vergeten Kind (Netherlands), among others. Herbalife Spain’s collaboration with Aldeas Infantiles SOS has already extended for 17 years, offering significant benefits in nutrition and healthy habits programs for children in their Day Centers.
The “Casa Herbalife” program has facilitated projects in the El Escorial location in Madrid, where educational, recreational, teamwork, and skill development activities are provided to promote healthy growth among youth. These activities have a positive influence on their personal, social, academic, and family lives. Since its establishment in 1994, the Herbalife Family Foundation has contributed over 55 million dollars to more than 175 non-profit organizations worldwide, reaffirming its strong commitment to positive and sustainable social change.
