In a significant step towards improving access to knowledge generated at events, the firm Infosys has unveiled its innovative artificial intelligence tool, Infosys Event AI. This new resource aims to transform the way information produced at conferences, workshops, and similar gatherings is captured and shared, addressing linguistic barriers and the difficulties that arise in retaining and disseminating valuable knowledge.
Often, during events, a large amount of information is lost due to traditional capture methods, which prove to be incomplete and subjective. Handwritten notes and reviewing extensive recordings are tedious processes that limit access to information, especially for those unable to attend in person. These deficiencies impact crucial sectors such as education, media, and the public sphere.
In collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS), Infosys has developed a system that transforms the ephemeral content generated during these gatherings into a lasting and easily searchable knowledge resource. Infosys Event AI offers several key features, including live streaming, real-time transcription, post-event knowledge indexing, and an AI-based interactive assistant that facilitates data retrieval.
The official launch took place in February 2025, during a conference on responsible artificial intelligence in Bangalore, India. Over 800 participants used the platform, which allowed them immediate access to summaries and answers to specific questions through a chat assistant. This advancement not only optimizes access to information after events conclude but also enriches the real-time participation experience, enhancing interaction through mobile and portable devices.
The results of this initiative have shown significant improvements in knowledge retention, information accessibility, and attendee engagement. Automation in summary generation and interaction with the chat assistant have facilitated more efficient access to data, while the ability to provide transcriptions in multiple languages promotes inclusivity during events.
Infosys Event AI emerges as an essential resource for a wide range of industries, from business management to education and media. The ability to turn fleeting meetings into accessible and searchable documents promises to revolutionize how organizations handle knowledge, fostering better collaboration and engagement among participants and ensuring that valuable wisdom shared at these gatherings endures over time.
