Innovations in home and workplace health and safety shine at WETEX 2024.

The 26th Water, Energy, Technology and Environment Exhibition (WETEX), organized by the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), will take place from October 1 to 3, 2024 at the Dubai World Trade Centre. This event will feature an exhibition center showcasing the latest technologies and practices in health and safety, aiming to raise awareness among both institutions and individuals about key international health and safety standards at home and in the workplace.

The exhibition center will be divided into four sections: interactive workshops, expert seminars and debates, child safety, and an area with contests, puzzles, games, and giveaways. These activities are designed to test knowledge and encourage innovation in safety procedures.

“WETEX is the largest exhibition of its kind in the region and the most prominent international exhibition in areas such as water, energy, sustainable technologies, clean and renewable energy, green buildings, electric vehicles, and smart grids. This year, the focus on health and safety is aligned with efforts to position the UAE as a global leader in quality of life, well-being, and health. This supports Dubai’s Social Agenda 33, the National Wellbeing Strategy 2031, and the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals 2030, including Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being,” said HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Managing Director & CEO of DEWA, Founder and Chairman of WETEX.

Local and international experts will review guidelines and procedures related to mental and physical health, occupational safety, and the latest trends and technologies in this field. Preventive measures to avoid risks and accidents, improve emergency preparedness, as well as manage stress and fatigue will also be highlighted. The goal is to enhance resilience to the effects of climate change on occupational health and safety in educational centers, homes, and workplaces. Success stories and initiatives demonstrating companies’ commitment to promoting a safe and healthy work environment, enhancing their reputation as socially responsible entities, will also be presented.

Registration to attend WETEX is now available on the official event website. This initiative is distributed by APO Group on behalf of the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA).
