The city of Madrid is the epicenter of the 4th edition of Iberseries & Platino Industria, a prominent global audiovisual event. This meeting has managed to bring together more than 2,000 professionals from the Spanish and Portuguese-speaking film and audiovisual industry, including participants from platforms, television networks, creatives, producers, distributors, buyers, and financiers, among others.
On this occasion, Invest in Bogotá, the investment promotion agency of the Colombian capital, stands out as one of the key participants in the event. Its presence in Madrid aims to establish strategic partnerships that enhance Bogotá’s attractiveness for international production companies. Under the leadership of its Investment Promotion Management, the agency seeks to attract production companies interested in setting up recording or post-production studios in the Colombian capital, thus promoting the realization of film and television projects in Colombia. To achieve this goal, Invest in Bogotá has around 25 meetings planned during the event. In addition, the agency will be part of several sessions together with ProColombia and Proimágenes.
The event features the participation of illustrious representatives from major international production companies such as HBO, BBC Studios, Sony Pictures Television, Amazon Studios, Prime Video, and Warner Bros Discovery. Throughout the event, crucial topics for the future of audiovisual production are being addressed, including the impact of artificial intelligence, new forms of financing, and emerging opportunities in co-production.
The opening ceremony took place at the Casa del Lector auditorium at Matadero Madrid and was attended by relevant public figures such as José Luis Martínez-Almeida, Mayor of Madrid, Enrique Cerezo, President of EGEDA, Raúl Berdonés, President of the Secuoya Foundation, Mariano de Paco, Counselor of Culture, Tourism and Sports of the Community of Madrid, Marta Rivera de la Cruz, Delegate of the Government Area of Culture, Tourism and Sports of the City Council of Madrid, Ignacio Rey, President of FIPCA, and Elisa Carbonell, CEO of ICEX.
