Joan Ros Assumes Role as New CEO at Envalora

ENVALORA, the collective system dedicated to extended producer responsibility in the field of industrial and commercial packaging, has announced a significant change in its leadership. Joan Ros has been appointed as the new general manager, succeeding Isabel Goyena, who made a significant mark in the construction and development of the system. Goyena is stepping down in search of new professional challenges, leaving behind a considerable legacy.

Ros joined ENVALORA in July 2024, initially as the director of operations, and played an active role in the evolution of the project from its inception. With over two decades of experience in legal consulting, circular economy, and waste management, he has successfully led strategic projects in various companies. Over the last year, he has distinguished himself by designing and implementing ENVALORA’s operational models, combining deep technical knowledge with an innovative strategic vision. This profile is key to supporting the more than 2,600 companies that are part of the system and collaborating with various stakeholders involved in the packaging value chain.

Upon assuming his new role, Ros expressed his gratitude for the trust placed in him and his excitement about the new challenge: “I am eager to pick up the torch from Isabel, whose work has been fundamental in positioning ENVALORA as a key player in the circular economy of companies. We face a phase of evolution and consolidation, in which we will continue working to meet the objectives of prevention, reuse, selective collection, and recycling of packaging, offering innovative and efficient solutions.”

ENVALORA has expressed its appreciation to Goyena for her valuable contribution, highlighting that her leadership was essential for obtaining the final authorization of the collective system, establishing it as a benchmark in the sector. Goyena has acknowledged that the transition to Ros, a member of her trusted team, ensures a seamless continuity in the organization’s strategy. This will ensure direct benefits for the associated companies and will allow them to face the environmental and regulatory challenges of the sector.

ENVALORA reaffirms its leadership in the sector’s sustainability, fulfilling the legal obligations related to the management of packaging waste, both single-use and reusable, and consolidates itself as a fundamental actor in the sector’s sustainability.
