Journalist Awards: Celebrating Innovation and Excellence in Corporate Communication

As part of ComuniConf, the leading platform for distributing press releases in Spain and Latin America has presented the Periodistae Awards, an initiative designed to recognize rigor, innovation, and creativity in journalism and corporate communications. The award ceremony for the first edition of these awards took place on June 25, aimed at honoring journalists and media outlets that are at the forefront of the industry, emphasizing the commitment that the profession demands today.

The presentation occurred during the online ComuniConf event, organized by diarios.net, which brought together 400 professionals from 22 countries. Key topics discussed included the impact of technology and artificial intelligence on communication, as well as the evolution of the relationship with the media. Among the attendees were notable speakers such as Cristina Aced and Itziar Oltra, along with leading companies in the sector like Allianz Partners and Expansión.

Among the winners of this first edition is Mar Manrique, who received the award in the ‘Journalistic Innovation’ category for her newsletter ‘Fleet Street.’ This independent platform has managed to provide a fresh and rigorous approach for journalists, with the quality of the work from finalists like Aida Bao Pena and Jesús Martínez González also recognized. Meanwhile, Tormo Franquicias Consulting was awarded the ‘Best Corporate Communication Award’ for its strategy of turning clients’ success stories into objective and verified news. The general director of Tormo Franquicias, Eduardo Tormo, expressed his satisfaction, noting that the award symbolizes the team’s effort and coherence.

Additionally, Marketing4eCommerce won the ‘Most Innovative Media Award,’ distinguished for its transition from a traditional media outlet to an active and engaged community in the field of marketing and e-commerce. Its director, Rubén Bastón, emphasized that this recognition highlights their new work philosophy, focused on helping e-commerce grow and establish effective connections with its audience.

The Periodistae Awards, with an independent jury composed of media and journalism experts, aim to become a benchmark in valuing innovation and excellence in communication, especially in a media landscape that is continually evolving.
