Kapsch TrafficCom will improve traffic flow in Pamplona.

The city of Pamplona has decided to renew its trust in the company Kapsch TrafficCom, granting it the maintenance of the urban traffic management system in a contract valued at 1.2 million euros. This agreement strengthens a long-standing relationship between the city and the multinational, known for its advanced transport solutions for sustainable mobility.

The new agreement establishes that Kapsch TrafficCom will be responsible for maintaining the equipment installed on the streets of Pamplona for the next 14.5 months, including the traffic controllers from various companies, as well as the software that manages all these devices. Additionally, the contract includes the possibility of extension through two optional one-year renewals, which will be evaluated annually.

The team at Kapsch TrafficCom in Pamplona, consisting of ten people including technicians and engineers, will play a crucial role in ensuring traffic flow in this city. Javier Aguirre, General Manager of Kapsch TrafficCom in Spain and Portugal, expressed his satisfaction with the continuation of this collaboration, highlighting the importance of Pamplona as an industrial and economic center, and its commitment to urban development through efficient mobility management.

Based in Vienna, Kapsch TrafficCom is recognized for its innovative solutions in tolling, traffic management, and mobility services, operating in more than 50 countries. The company, which generated revenues of 539 million euros in the last fiscal year, has approximately 4,000 employees spread across subsidiaries and branches in more than 25 countries. Through its projects, it aims to promote sustainable urban development and a world free of traffic congestion.

The renewal of this contract with Pamplona not only reinforces Kapsch TrafficCom’s commitment to excellence, but also underscores its role as a key player in the implementation of mobility solutions in Europe and other global markets.
