Konecta Recognized with the SERES 2025 Award for Its Contribution to Employability through the Green Employment Hub.

Here’s the translation to American English:

Konecta has recently been recognized with one of the SERES 2025 Awards, an honor that highlights its commitment to social inclusion and sustainable employability through its Foundation. This recognition is especially due to the impact of the Green Employment Hub project, an initiative that closely collaborates with JPMorgan Chase and the Endesa Foundation. The goal of this project is to promote the employability of young people and vulnerable groups in sectors linked to ecological transition and sustainability.

Since its launch in 2021, the Green Employment Hub has reached over 2,800 people, offering 785 personalized training paths and achieving 178 job placements in positions with future potential. Additionally, eight entrepreneurship workshops have been held, where more than 100 participants have been trained in sustainable self-employment. This success has been facilitated by a robust collaboration network that includes 110 social entities, 325 companies, 78 universities and training centers, as well as 92 public administrations.

Among the most relevant innovations of the program are the Research and Sustainable Challenges LABs. In these labs, solutions for various environmental challenges are proposed and co-created. So far, five challenges focused on the circular economy, urban gardening, technological recycling, and reducing food waste have been completed.

The award was received by prominent representatives from the sector, including Julio Meseguer from J.P. Morgan Spain, María Malaxechevarria from the Endesa Foundation, and José María Pacheco, president of Konecta. Pacheco highlighted that “the employability of young people and vulnerable individuals in sustainable jobs is a genuine lever for social transformation.” This recognition underscores the importance of the Green Employment Hub as a model for social impact that connects the needs of the green labor market with the talent of those who need it most.

In conclusion, this award reinforces Konecta’s determination to expand its social impact and continue implementing projects that promote a fairer and more inclusive society. Thanks to the leadership of the company and its Foundation, the Hub has established itself as a strategic axis, with recently announced expansion plans toward Andalusia.
