Kvik opens two new showrooms and boosts its ambitious expansion plan in Spain – Interior Decoration

The Danish multinational, Kvik, specialized in the design and manufacture of high-quality kitchens, bathrooms, and closets, has just announced the opening of a new store in Spain.

This new store is located in Fuengirola, being the second of its stores in Spain where its new “masterstore” concept is implemented. The first one was Kvik Valencia Alfafar, also recently opened in a privileged location for being one of the most important commercial areas in Valencia. The project aims to increase the efficiency of the stores – those that have already implemented it have recorded an average sales increase of 13%, with the same location and staff – and offer a personalized, immersive, and inspiring customer experience.

The company currently has 12 stores: four in Madrid, three in Barcelona, two in Valencia, two in Malaga, and one in Bilbao. It is in the process of expansion in Spain and has set itself the goal of having at least 25 showrooms by the end of 2025, focusing on Sevilla, Barcelona, Madrid, Zaragoza, Vigo, La Coruña, Palma de Mallorca, and Murcia.

“We are looking for qualified entrepreneurs with management skills. At Kvik, we sell a large number of kitchens, and we have already achieved 50% of our expansion plan. For us, it is very important to find the right partner to ensure the profitability of each showroom from the beginning. Otherwise, we will not be able to meet the high demand for quality Danish design kitchens,” says Jens-Peter Poulsen, CEO of Kvik.

To successfully export its concept, Kvik bases its development strategy on the multiple franchise model. It offers a proven concept and the support of an international and financially solid company, and its business model allows franchisees to be more competitive and lead a team of 20 people with an annual turnover of more than 10 million euros.

This makes entrepreneurs trust Kvik to start their own business. An example of this is the Danish Søren Skifter Christensen, who was the first Country Manager of the company in Spain from 2008 to 2010, and now runs his own business as a Kvik Marbella and the recently inaugurated Kvik Fuengirola-Mijas franchisee.

On the other hand, Agnese de Luca, Country Manager of Kvik for Spain, who leads the company’s expansion process in our country, affirms that success lies in the support that franchisees receive from the central office. “They function as an independent company that enjoys enormous freedom, but they also have great security thanks to the support of Kvik. This allows them to focus on customers because the central office takes care of the rest: marketing, logistics, development, ongoing training, etc. They have our full support, especially during the start-up phase,” she adds.

Great development plans in Spain and Europe

Internationally, the company has a strong positioning in northern Europe and has successfully expanded to other markets to bring the quality of Danish design to consumers throughout Europe and Asia. Currently, it has more than 185 stores in 12 countries operating through an exclusive network of franchises across the two continents. In addition, Kvik plans to open more than 25 showrooms per year in the next 5 years.

In its 40 years of experience, Kvik has constantly innovated to offer kitchens, bathrooms, and closets at surprisingly low prices that combine aesthetics, functionality, and sustainability in perfect harmony. The company’s extensive warranties reflect the durability of its products, and sustainability is in its DNA, making it more attractive to an increasingly environmentally conscious consumer.

The main headquarters is located in Vildbjerg, Denmark, and the company is part of the Swedish group Ballingslöv Int. AB, one of the leading companies in kitchen and bathroom in Scandinavia and Great Britain.
