La Central House Expands Its Presence in the Historic Center of Rome

The international chain of premium hostels, The Central House (TCH), has taken a significant step in its expansion strategy by acquiring an iconic building in the heart of Rome. Located on Viale Castro Pretorio, close to Termini station and just 30 minutes from Fiumicino airport, this historic property will be transformed into a modern and innovative hostel. The building, dating back to 1902 and spanning over 3,000 square meters, will be refurbished to include 32 rooms of various categories, as well as communal spaces and dining areas designed to encourage interaction among travelers. The opening of the new establishment is scheduled for the last quarter of 2027 and will be managed by the law firm Ontier Italia.

This investment in Rome represents a key step in TCH’s growth in a strategic market. Its arrival in the Italian capital is just the beginning of an ambitious plan that includes expansion to other cities in the country, with the goal of establishing itself as a leading name in the European sector.

Currently, TCH operates in five cities: Madrid, Barcelona, Lisbon, Porto, and Marrakech. Additionally, it is in the process of remodeling its hostel in Istanbul and plans to inaugurate one in Granada by the end of 2025. Other projects are underway in Budapest, Athens, Alicante, Seville, and Cordoba, reinforcing its presence on the continent.

TCH’s proposition focuses on providing quality urban accommodations integrated with dynamic social spaces. Each establishment respects the original architecture and focuses on offering unique experiences, with communal areas for travelers to share experiences. The gastronomic offering is also a fundamental part, making TCH a meeting point to enjoy the cities from a renewed perspective.

With its foray into Rome, TCH reaffirms its commitment to a hospitality model in line with urban tourism trends, positioning itself as one of the most creative and attractive brands in the premium hostel sector in Europe.
