Lorelei Green releases new single “Out of Focus” ahead of performance in Bilbao.

The Basque band Lorelei Green, led by the charismatic Leire Aparicio, has released their latest music video titled “Fuera de Foco,” which is part of their new album “LAVA.” This is the group’s second album, aiming to take their audience on a unique musical and conceptual journey. The official presentation of “LAVA” will take place on November 20th at the Crystal Hall in Bilbao, and it is expected to be an unforgettable event.

“Fuera de Foco” is a piece that challenges the culture of superficiality, calling on the audience to find authentic and sincere connections in a world often filled with artificiality. The music video is set in the enigmatic “Circo de las Almas Gastadas,” filmed in the mythical ruins of the Circo de Los Muchachos in Galicia, a place that once housed Spain’s first national circus school.

The album “LAVA” represents a significant change from the acoustic and folk sound of their debut album “Aviones de Papel,” released five years ago. This new work, produced by the British James Morgan at Magic Box studio, has been released in vinyl and digipack format, thanks to a successful crowdfunding campaign on Verkami. Initially presented in early 2023, it is now being relaunched to a wider audience, standing out with a special vinyl edition that challenges contemporary digital trends.

This album is not just a musical journey, but also a conceptual voyage. Each track on “LAVA” connects with natural elements: “Cenizas Negras” with fire, “Aire” with wind, “Amildegian” with water, and “Luz de Carretera” with ether. The songs capture not only the essence of the earth but also the warmth that binds people to their roots and their future.

In this ambitious project, Leire Aparicio lends her voice and acoustic guitar, while the band is enriched by Alex García Txintxurreta on electric guitar, Ricardo de Lucas Gómez on double bass and electric bass, and Josu Polanco Díez on drums. The album also features collaborations with well-known artists, such as María Blanco from Mäbu and Adrián Morote.

With this work, Lorelei Green celebrates the evolution of intimate rock and the power of music as an emotional refuge. The band shows their commitment to the environment by choosing not to release the album on CD and instead offering an exclusive booklet with lyrics and a QR code for digital downloads.

The highly anticipated concert at the Crystal Hall in Bilbao promises to be a must-see event for rock lovers and those seeking authentic and innovative musical experiences. With “LAVA,” Lorelei Green invites us to rediscover music as a symbol of unity and a sanctuary for the soul.
