The 2nd Madrid Furniture Week will take place from February 3rd to 6th, 2027 as part of Intergift, one of the most important events in the habitat sector in Spain. The initiative, presented by the Association of Habitat Merchants of Madrid (Hábitat Madrid) at the Auditorium of Banco Sabadell, aims to strengthen the sector’s role as an economic engine for the region and boost sales, promoting habitat culture among consumers.
This event is supported by various institutions, including the Community of Madrid, the City Council of Madrid, as well as those of Arganda and Las Rozas, along with IFEMA Madrid and the Official Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Madrid. According to Marta Nieto, General Director of Commerce, Consumption and Services of the Community of Madrid, the first edition marked a “turning point” for the sector, creating a space where businesses, manufacturers, and institutions could showcase the diversity and quality of the Madrid furniture industry.
One of the legacies of the first edition was the creation of a digital map of furniture in the Community of Madrid, which continues to grow and is available on a dedicated website, where you can find a directory of stores, offers, and a gallery of images related to the event.
The second edition will be organized under the motto “Here begins your story”, connecting the home with cinema and highlighting the crucial role that furniture plays in the personal narrative of each home. Jesús Clemente, president of Hábitat Madrid, highlighted the choice of this concept, indicating that each piece of furniture constitutes the first chapter of a family story. The program will include cultural interventions and special activations during Intergift to attract the public to participating stores.
New institutional actors have joined the project, reinforcing its metropolitan and commercial scope. Marta Nieto pointed out that the Furniture Week demonstrates the strength of a sector that combines tradition and innovation, as well as a robust proximity trade that is constantly expanding.
In addition, Jesús Clemente stated that this edition consolidates a collective effort to project Madrid as a reference in design and quality. Alberto Escribano, mayor of Arganda del Rey, emphasized the importance of this initiative to enhance the local productive fabric, given that Arganda has a solid tradition in the furniture industry.
With the ambition of positioning Madrid as a key point in the design and marketing of furniture and decorations, the 2nd Furniture Week aims to consolidate a diverse and competitive business ecosystem. Julia González Romo, director of Intergift, concluded by highlighting the value of the event as a natural meeting point for the sector, offering content and visibility to both professionals and consumers.
