Marc Majó Ricart Takes on the Role of Director of International Business at Serenae.

Serenae has taken a significant step in its global expansion strategy by appointing Marc Majó Ricart as the new Head of International Business. This decision underscores the company’s goal of entering new markets, with a particular focus on the African continent.

With over 15 years of experience in international business development and commercial strategies, Majó has been a key figure within Serenae, previously serving as the Head for Africa. During his tenure in this area, he successfully obtained the telecommunications license that allows the company to provide internet and phone services in Senegal, as well as establish key relationships with various local ministries. These efforts have been aimed at enhancing connectivity and education projects in rural areas.

Before joining Serenae, Majó worked at Eurona, where he led the expansion in Africa for five years, developing subsidiaries through partnerships with local stakeholders. His experience also includes promoting digitalization and cultural initiatives, where he distinguished himself as a co-founder of Libelista and a collaborator with Libranda, always focusing on innovation and transformation within the sector.

Majó holds a degree in Advertising and Public Relations from Universitat Abat Oliba CEU, and his focus on developing international networks is enhanced by his fluency in Spanish, Catalan, English, and French. This skill has allowed him to forge strong partnerships in various multicultural contexts, which is crucial for the success of his projects in the region.

With over two decades of experience in the sector, Serenae has an extensive portfolio of more than 12,000 clients and specializes in providing high-speed satellite connectivity solutions, focusing on bringing the Internet to rural and remote areas that lack access to other providers. The addition of Majó is seen as a significant boost to consolidate Serenae’s presence in emerging markets.
