The official distributor of Corian® Solid Surface in the Iberian Peninsula, Materfut®, held a professional meeting in Curia, Portugal, on May 29 and 30. This event brought together clients from Spain and Portugal, including installers and technicians, who are part of the Corian® Quality Network, an initiative by DuPont® aimed at ensuring high standards of quality and satisfaction in architectural and design projects that utilize Corian®.
During the meeting, Angelo Maia, CEO of Materfut®, emphasized the importance of being part of this network, stating that it represents a “statement of principles” that fosters innovation and personalized service. Francisco Gonçalves, DuPont’s director for Europe, Africa, and the Middle East, highlighted the significance of gatherings like this to align visions and anticipate future trends in the industry.
The event facilitated the exchange of updates on products and marketing strategies, strengthening the relationship among professionals in the community. Toni García, DuPont’s Business Manager, presented data reflecting the sustainable growth of Corian® in Europe, a result of collaborative work between the company and its partners to adapt offerings to the new demands of design and sustainability.
Materfut® has implemented several initiatives to support the work of installers and distributors, including the creation of quick guides and a new Digital Manual for Corian®, accessible through QR codes. Ignácio Robles, Project and Prescription Manager at DuPont, noted the growing interest in using Corian® in outdoor spaces, thanks to its diverse technical properties.
Tania Amorim, marketing coordinator of Materfut®, shared the company’s achievements in recent years, including the renovation of its website and participation in major industry fairs. Looking ahead, Materfut® plans to expand its presence on social media and strengthen its brand identity.
Finally, Roberto Sousa, commercial director of Materfut®, reviewed the results obtained during the first half of 2025 and set goals for the second half, focused on continuous improvement and strengthening customer relationships. This meeting reaffirmed the strength of the Corian® Quality Network, in which Materfut® plays a key role as distributor and strategic partner in the Iberian market.
