Micasso Baby Club: The Musical Revolution for Babies in Barcelona

Micasso Baby Club, an innovative musical program designed for babies, arrives in Barcelona for the first time after a great success in Madrid, where it has been well received by over 2,000 families. This project stands out for its ability to combine live music with English learning, offering young children, from newborns to five-year-olds, a unique experience in the neighborhoods of Eixample and Sant Gervasi.

Micasso Baby Club classes are known for their careful pedagogical approach. In addition to enhancing early stimulation, they aim to promote the emotional, cognitive, and social development of children through the use of music. In an intimate and creative environment, parents and children can establish a special bond through moments of connection and shared learning. “Music is a beautiful bridge between parents and children,” says Ann-Sophie Peers de Nieuwburgh, known as AnnSo, founder of the club and mother of three children, who created the program after returning to Madrid from living in London.

Since its foundation, Micasso Baby Club has evolved into a vibrant community that allows families to enjoy parenting through music. Sessions include original songs composed by AnnSo, incorporating influences from classical music. These themes have been shown to promote brain development in the early stages of life, which is crucial for the comprehensive growth of children.

Classes are conducted in English, providing early exposure to a second language in a natural and effective way. Each session is designed as a multisensory and educational experience, tailored to the different stages of child development. Groups are organized according to the participants’ age, ranging from “Mini Mozarts” for babies aged 0 to 9 months, to “Bouncing Beethovens” for children 2.5 to 5 years old, ensuring that each activity is tailored to the evolving needs of each group.

Micasso Baby Club will offer its activities in two locations in Barcelona: “Just for you kids,” located at Carrer de Casanova, 173, in Eixample, and “A place to be,” located at Carrer de Teodora Lamadrid, 81, in the Sarrià-Sant Gervasi district. Classes are aimed at children aged 0 to 5 years old and take place in a bilingual learning environment in English and Spanish, with live music and small groups, ensuring personalized attention for each family.
