Musicians from all over Spain come together to support NEOMusic’s solidarity initiative to help victims of the DANA.

The recent Isolated High Level Depression (DANA) that affected the Valencia region has left an impact not only on infrastructure and homes, but also on the cultural and artistic life of the communities. While families work hard to recover what was lost, the music instrument store NEOMúsica has taken the initiative to revive the musical spirit of the affected region, in collaboration with the Social Musik foundation.

This solidarity campaign aims to restore musical and cultural life in the devastated areas, gathering support from more than 20 associations and the collaboration of prominent professional musicians. The central project of this campaign is a special composition created by the renowned musician and composer Santi Miguel. Titled “Song for Valencia,” this musical piece pays tribute to the victims of the DANA and is available for free download, symbolizing a message of hope and solidarity.

NEOMúsica and Social Musik have extended an invitation to musicians of all genres to interpret this emotional composition, record their own versions, and share them on social media using the hashtag #SongForValencia. In addition, they have established a crowdfunding platform to channel donations that support the musical reactivation in the affected communities.

The response from the music community has been encouraging, with the support of prestigious institutions such as the Primitiva de Lliria Band, the horn section of the Barcelona Symphony Orchestra, and the Spanish Trombonists Association. Recognized figures, like José Vicente Faubel, have also joined their support to this charitable cause.

The spokesperson for NEOMúsica has emphasized the power of music to unite and heal, hoping that this initiative serves as a tribute and concrete contribution for those musicians who have lost their tools of artistic expression due to the catastrophe.

The call is open to all musicians, both professionals and amateurs, inviting them to actively participate not only in the cultural reconstruction of Valencia, but also to show solidarity with the affected. Those interested in joining or learning more can visit the “Song for Valencia” campaign website. In times of adversity, music rises as a universal language capable of healing wounds and rebuilding dreams, and now resonates louder than ever in the hearts of the Valencian communities.
