The Spanish Association of Real Estate Franchising Companies (AEFI) has launched its Legal Course for the 2025/2026 period, an initiative aimed at real estate agents to update and strengthen their legal knowledge in an increasingly complex and regulated environment. AEFI, which represents over 700 real estate agencies, includes founding brands such as Alfa Inmobiliaria, Century 21, Comprarcasa, Keller Williams, Look & Find, Redpiso, and Remax, and offers this training to more than 6,600 industry professionals.
The program, which will be taught by the franchising headquarters, features a syllabus overseen by specialized lawyer Pedro Cedenilla. It comprises ten modules addressing fundamental aspects of Private and Public Law related to real estate intermediation and management. The topics include contracts, leases, Real Rights of property, and the legal treatment of Official Protection Housing (VPO).
Furthermore, the course offers training in property valuations and tax issues, as well as tools aimed at ensuring legal certainty in transactions. This approach allows participants to anticipate and resolve common operational conflicts, equipping them with updated materials to tackle the regulatory challenges presented by the market.
AEFI reaffirms its commitment to excellence in the sector, emphasizing that advanced legal training is crucial for ensuring safety and transparency in real estate transactions, especially in a context where access to housing and consumer protection are paramount.
The course is designed for both new professionals and experienced agents looking to stay updated on the most relevant legal aspects of the industry. Enrollment for the 2025 Legal Course is already open through the association’s website.
AEFI President Leonardo Cromstedt emphasizes that staying informed about legal matters provides real estate agents with a significant competitive advantage, enabling them to advise their clients rigorously and anticipate potential legal and tax risks. The continuous and specialized training offered by AEFI not only strengthens the credibility of industry professionals but also opens new business opportunities, at a time when digitalization and other emerging factors are transforming the industry.
