Eviden, the Atos Group company specializing in digital solutions, has been selected by NTT Group to implement its Evidian Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) solution in order to optimize the management of identities of its approximately 250,000 employees in Japan. This agreement represents a significant step towards strengthening cybersecurity within the group, while providing more effective control over the identities of its vast workforce.
NTT Comware’s decision to adopt this innovative infrastructure came after a thorough evaluation process that began in 2020. During this period, proof of concepts and evaluations were carried out that confirmed the ability of Evidian IGA to effectively manage NTT Group’s extensive user base.
David Leporini, Director of IAM Cybersecurity Products and General Manager of Evidian, referred to the challenge of deploying this solution on a large scale in NTT’s complex infrastructure. Leporini stated that the IGA solution not only meets the requirements set, but also sets a new global standard in identity management.
On the other hand, Ken Komazawa, Vice President of the Platform Services Department at NTT Comware, highlighted that, after analyzing various alternatives in the market, they found in Evidian IGA the best response to the group’s operational needs. Komazawa emphasized the flexibility of the identity and rights management model, as well as its ability to quickly process millions of provisioning tasks. He also pointed out the relevance of the system for managing personnel changes, especially considering the fluctuations affecting approximately 50,000 employees.
Evidian IAM, with a notable presence in Japan and the Asia-Pacific region, consolidates itself as a leader in the field of secure identity governance. With over 900 organizations and more than 5 million users worldwide, the company continues to expand its influence, particularly in the United States and Japan.
The Evidian IAM team will maintain ongoing collaboration with NTT Comware to provide support and enhancements to the system, ensuring security and scalability in the management of NTT Group’s identities and rights.
