Official Recognition from the Andalusian Government to Francisco Bueno Báñez, Singer-Songwriter from Almonte

The singer-songwriter from Almonte, Francisco Bueno Báñez, has received an important recognition for his work by obtaining the Legal Deposit H 472-2025 from the Andalusian Government for his work “Two lives, one soul: sound self-portrait and Andalusian roots.” This distinction not only certifies his contribution to the Andalusian musical heritage, but also guarantees his inclusion in the Musical Documentation Center of Andalusia (CDMA) and in the National Library of Spain, one of the country’s most prominent institutions.

This achievement represents a significant advancement in the consolidation of Bueno Báñez’s musical legacy, as he has seen the number of works that are part of his “non-profit cultural proposal” increase to 61. The work is offered in a digital format of 566 MB, preserved in four flash drives, and has been conceived as a tribute to his mother, Antonia Báñez Cruz, who had the opportunity to celebrate his success during her lifetime.

At 46 years old, the artist has established Contemporary Flamenco as an essential component of the Andalusian musical heritage, thanks to his innovative fusion of digital technology and musical creation. His experience as a technology developer, combined with his artistic career, has allowed his proposal to respect Andalusian traditions, while integrating modern elements.

In addition, Bueno Báñez’s approach values moral impact over economic gain, using music as a means of healing and spiritual expression. By distancing himself from commercial exploitation, he seeks to ensure that his legacy remains in the cultural and social spheres.

The 61 compositions of his work are organized in thematic blocks that include everything from autobiographical content to tributes to emblematic places in Andalusia such as Matalascañas and El Rocío, as well as religious pieces dedicated to the Virgin of El Rocío. The General Secretariat of Historical and Documentary Heritage of the Ministry of Culture and Sports has formalized this recognition, praising the project’s ethical commitment and dedication to Andalusia’s cultural heritage.

Aware of the importance of his work, Bueno Báñez plans to continue expanding his repertoire and contributing to the heritage with new compositions. His cultural and social approach will define his future trajectory, seeking for economic aspects to arise naturally from his copyright.

The musical legacy of Francisco Bueno Báñez symbolizes the power of music to transcend time and circumstances. His work, which not only reflects his talent, also carries with it the essence and influence of his mother, Antonia Báñez Cruz. This project highlights the reality that true art lies in what is preserved in the collective heritage, regardless of the multiple interpretations that may arise over time.
