OK Mobility presents OK Lean Factory, its innovative vehicle refurbishment factory.

OK Mobility has taken a significant step towards sustainability and innovation in the automotive sector with the launch of its new vehicle reconditioning plant, the OK Lean Factory, located in OK Village, a facility of over 43 hectares in Calonge de Segarra, Barcelona. This project represents an investment of 5.5 million euros, of which 1.6 million have been exclusively allocated to the construction and equipment of the factory.

The OK Lean Factory, occupying two of the six warehouses in the complex, is designed for the reconditioning of semi-new vehicles. With a significant production capacity, the plant has 80,000 m² of outdoor storage and 40,000 m² of indoor storage, as well as eight production lines and 12 paint booths. To ensure quality, 300 quality control points and advanced repair techniques, such as SmartRepair, facilitated by state-of-the-art technology that allows for real-time management of damages and repair orders, are implemented.

Othman Ktiri, CEO of OK Mobility, highlighted the strategic value of this facility, which aims not only to improve efficiency in vehicle reconditioning, but also to reduce operating costs. This initiative creates 50 new jobs in the region, adding a social benefit to the business commitment.

A fundamental aspect of the operating model of OK Village is its focus on sustainability. The factory operates entirely on clean energy from photovoltaic panels and has implemented measures to minimize water usage. Repairs comply with strict emissions regulations, and the commitment to continuous improvement translates into ongoing training for technicians.

The mayor of Calonge de Segarra, Xavier Nadal, emphasized that this new factory not only revitalizes the industrial activity of the area, which had been marked by the closure of an old ceramic factory, but also boosts the local economy and reinforces OK Mobility’s commitment to the environment.
