Paint Update Begins Rolling Out to Windows Insiders

Microsoft has started rolling out an update for its popular Paint application, specifically designed for Windows Insider program users in the Canary and Dev channels of Windows 11. This new version, 11.2502.121.0, aims to enhance the Cocreator sidebar experience, making it more accessible and intuitive for users.

To access the new features, users must click on “Cocreator” within the Copilot menu and describe what they want to create. They can then start drawing on the canvas using a mouse or digital pen, enabling the possibility of creating artwork with the support of artificial intelligence.

Among the main novelties brought by this update is a “Creativity” slider and a “Select style” dropdown menu, both maintaining their previous format. However, one of the most interesting features is the new “Try again” button, which allows users to generate a new version of the image if they are not satisfied with the original result. Once satisfied with their creation, users can apply the generated contents to the Paint canvas using the “Apply” button.

Microsoft has encouraged users to provide feedback on this update through the Feedback Hub, highlighting their interest in hearing the opinions and suggestions of the community. This openness to feedback demonstrates the company’s commitment to listening to its users and constantly improving its products.

Dave Grochocki, Principal Product Group Manager – Windows Inbox Applications, emphasized the importance of interacting with the Windows Insiders community in the development of new features and improvements, stressing the significance of this collaboration for the success of the application.
