The Peru Mucho Gusto Madrid 2025 fair has concluded its first international edition, leaving a profound mark on the Spanish capital. Over three days filled with flavor and culture, 14,350 gastronomy enthusiasts enjoyed the rich and varied culinary offerings of Peru, far exceeding attendance expectations. Organized by PROMPERÚ, this event established itself as an important meeting point between Peruvian culture and the Spanish public.
Peruvian cuisine, globally recognized, was represented by 25 Peruvian restaurants established in Spain. Attendees indulged in iconic dishes such as ceviche, ají de gallina, and various Nikkei fusions. Additionally, the fair featured the participation of 13 pisco brands, four superfood companies, and three decoration companies, becoming a strategic showcase to strengthen the Brand Peru in the European continent.
The event not only focused on gastronomic tastings, but also promoted a comprehensive cultural experience. Peru’s Minister of Foreign Trade and Tourism, Úrsula Desilú León, emphasized that this event was an excellent opportunity to present a fragment of Peru to Spaniards, noting that last year, 138,000 Spanish tourists visited the Andean country. The minister expressed her gratitude for the warm reception of the event and hopes that many attendees will be encouraged to visit Peru and fully experience it.
Peru Mucho Gusto presents itself as a love letter to Peru, inviting attendees to explore its diverse regions and vast culture. From enjoying ceviche on the coast to tasting rocoto relleno in Arequipa, the fair highlighted the richness that the country offers to those who dare to venture and discover it.
With an emphasis on authenticity and cultural experience, Peru Mucho Gusto positions itself as a consolidated event and a springboard for future initiatives seeking to bring this beautiful country even closer to Europe. The event’s promise goes beyond the fair itself, serving as a call to live and share the multiple facets of one of the world’s most diverse cultures.
