The Catalan and Andalusian regions account for a total of 38.5% of the total alarm triggers nationwide, according to internal data from ADT. Madrid ranks third with 13.7% of triggers, followed by the Valencian Community (10.8%) and Castilla-La Mancha (6.8%).
Summer is gaining strength and although millions of Spaniards want to enjoy the sun and rest, home security is currently a key point to achieve this. Thus, ADT, a leading company in alarms and electronic security, has announced the conclusions of its alarm triggers for the period corresponding to the natural year 2023, where Catalonia and Andalusia are crowned as the most restless autonomous communities in Spain, concentrating 38.5% of all alarm triggers in the country, with 21.8% and 16.7%, respectively. Meanwhile, Madrid ranks third with 13.7%, followed by the Valencian Community with 10.8% and Castilla-La Mancha with 6.8%.
The effectiveness of security systems and alarm verification is key in managing alarms for a quick police response from the State Security Forces and Bodies. In addition, immediate communication significantly helps in the close collaboration between private and public security.
The paradox of 06:00 am: the safest hour in the most dangerous time slot. According to ADT’s internal data, almost half (45%) of real incidents occur during the night, between 11:00 pm and 07:00 am, with 4:00 am being the most problematic time slot with 45% of real incidents. In second place, afternoons account for 33% of triggers and mornings for 22%, being the calmest period of the day.
Paradoxically, 06:00 am is the safest hour of the day with the fewest number of incidents, even though it falls in the night time slot (from 11:00 pm to 07:00 am) and is categorized as the most unsafe.
“At ADT, we not only offer technology, but also peace of mind. The Alarm Receiving Center (ARC) at ADT effectively manages each alarm it receives to provide personalized attention and ensure that every home is protected and receives the necessary care, acting according to the severity of each incident,” commented José González Osma, General Manager of ADT.
