Professionals and companies analyze new trends in BIM methodology.

From May 21 to 24, the Higher Technical School of Building Engineering at the Polytechnic University of Valencia hosted the international congress BIM EUBIM 2025. This event, which has been a cornerstone in the construction sector in Spain for fourteen years, brought together professionals, academics, and companies to explore the implementation of Building Information Modeling (BIM).

Congress attendees had the opportunity to learn about the latest innovations in software and tools from leading manufacturers and share practical experiences from organizations that have already integrated this collaborative model into their projects. The congress focused on three main themes: BIM Training and Research, Design and Construction with BIM, and Real Experiences with BIM, under the motto “All you BIM is love.”

Over four days, activities such as presentations and workshops were developed, addressing key aspects of integrating BIM tools like Revit, ArchiCAD, and Civil 3D, as well as emerging technologies including artificial intelligence. These tools not only optimize costs but also improve the performance of buildings and services using concepts like point clouds and augmented reality.

BIM technology has proven to be a key tool in the country, gaining acceptance among professionals and businesses in the sector. Borja Sánchez Ortega, Director of Projects and the International BIM Manager Master’s (+AI and VR) at the consulting firm Espacio BIM, pointed out that this system centralizes all project information in a shared digital model, revolutionizing work in architecture, engineering, construction, and operations.

At the end of the event, the organizing committee thanked all participants for their intention to move towards more efficient and sustainable work models in the construction industry, reaffirming the role of EUBIM 2025 as an essential platform for the dissemination and adoption of the BIM methodology in Spain.
