Qcom.es awards The Oscars of Food.

The Qcom.es newspaper has carried out the XIV edition of its annual awards, an event that has become a reference in celebrating the contributions of companies and entities within the agri-food sector. The gala, which took place recently, brought together a wide representation of the agri-food chain, highlighting the importance of these awards in recognizing the hard daily work of professionals in the sector.

This year, the awards were sponsored by the Interalimentary Forum and IFEMA Madrid, through their agri-food events such as Fruit Attraction, Meat Attraction, and Intersicop. Among the awardees, the Federation of Agri-food Cooperatives of the Region of Murcia (FECOAM) stood out, receiving the award for the Best Producer Sector Initiative 2024, thanks to its efforts in digitalization and agricultural sustainability. The International Olive Oil Council (IOOC) was recognized as the Best Institution 2024 for its work in promoting olive oil worldwide.

Other awardees included Agrocantabria, who was named Best Cooperative Company 2024, and Corporación Hijos de Rivera, who won in the category of Best Private Company. Enrique Tomás was recognized as the Best Horeca Sector Company, while Mercadona and Covirán took home the awards for Best Distribution Company and Sustainability, respectively. Ahumados Premium Martiko was awarded for their innovative product in the Most Innovative Agri-food Product category.

The ceremony was attended by prominent figures from the institutional sphere, including the President of the Senate, Pedro Rollán, and the Secretary of State for Agriculture and Food, Begoña G. Bernal, as well as the Minister of Water, Agriculture, Livestock, and Fisheries of the Region of Murcia, Sara Rubira.

This event also marked the 15th anniversary of Agrifood Comunicación, the company behind Qcom.es, which has driven significant initiatives since its foundation in 2010. To commemorate this milestone, the Agrifood Talks were introduced, a series of meetings aimed at strengthening the digital reputation of the sector and fostering knowledge exchange.

Awardees and attendees have highlighted the relevance of this event as a space that not only recognizes the efforts of the agri-food sector but also promotes the vision of a more sustainable and innovative future. With this celebration, Qcom.es reaffirms its commitment to the visibility and defense of the comprehensive work that allows food to reach our tables.
