With over 34,000 installed light fixtures, the hotel has created a highly customizable interior environment, enhancing the experience of its guests.
The new system has allowed for an astonishing 80% reduction in energy consumption compared to the previous installation, resulting in significant savings in costs as well as a positive environmental impact. This adaptive lighting not only optimizes energy use but also allows for the creation of different atmospheres that cater to the needs of each guest throughout the day, elevating the experience in every corner of the hotel.
Signify has developed a centralized control system that facilitates efficient lighting management. This system allows for the setting of configurable lighting scenes and streamlines maintenance, avoiding inconveniences for visitors. From the hotel’s Engineering department, it has been noted that this solution not only adds warmth and elegance but also enhances facility management.
The transformation included the installation of state-of-the-art LED lamps and a Dynalite control system that regulates fixtures from various brands from a single control panel. This has enabled the Ritz to maintain its classic character while reaping the benefits of modern technology, thereby ensuring excellence in service.
Germán Casanova, commercial director of Hospitality at Signify, highlighted the challenge of respecting the historical essence of the Ritz while integrating this new technology. In his opinion, efficiency, connectivity, and luxury are aspects that mutually enhance each other in this ambitious project.
