Samsung Electronics has unveiled its new line of monitors for 2025, highlighting the inclusion of the Smart Monitor M9, the Odyssey gaming monitors, and the ViewFinity. These devices will be showcased at Samsung’s “First Look” event during CES on January 5th. The Korean company’s proposals raise the standard in the monitor industry by integrating artificial intelligence, innovative OLED market sizes, and formats designed to meet the diverse needs of users, whether for work, gaming, or content creation.
Hoon Chung, Executive Vice President of Samsung Electronics’ Visual Display Business, emphasized that the new monitors offer multiple ways to explore content and make connections. “With our new AI capabilities and sizing options, 2025 will be a year in which users worldwide will find the monitor that suits their needs,” Chung stated.
The Smart Monitor M9, model M90SF, is a pioneer in integrating artificial intelligence functions, enhancing interaction and entertainment experience by automatically adjusting image and search functions. This model uses AI Picture Optimizer technology, which analyzes input signals to automatically adjust display settings, whether it’s a video game, a movie, or productivity applications. Additionally, the M9 offers 4K AI Upscaling Pro, which enhances low-resolution content to 4K quality, providing sharp and detailed images.
In the gaming realm, the Odyssey series introduces the Odyssey OLED G8 and G6, each with innovative specifications. The G8 stands out as the world’s first 27-inch 4K OLED gaming monitor, achieving a density of 165 PPI and a 240Hz refresh rate. On the other hand, the G6 is distinguished as the first OLED monitor with a 500Hz refresh rate, offering gamers ultra-fast and smooth performance. Both models boast a 0.03ms response time and are compatible with AMD FreeSync™ Premium Pro and NVIDIA G-Sync™, ensuring smooth and seamless gaming experiences.
Samsung will also introduce the ViewFinity S8, a 37-inch monitor that becomes the largest 16:9 format 4K monitor to date. Designed to maximize productivity, this device features a 99% sRGB color gamut, ensuring accurate color representation on its 4K screen, making it an ideal tool for creative professionals. The S8 has been certified by TÜV Rheinland for its ergonomic design and includes features that help reduce visual fatigue, allowing for prolonged use without compromising user well-being.
With these innovations, Samsung aims to position itself as a leader in the monitor market, offering solutions tailored to current and future needs in the entertainment and work sectors.
