Samsung Electronics has dominated the global gaming monitor market for six consecutive years.

Samsung Electronics has reaffirmed its position as a leader in the global gaming monitor market, reaching a market share of 21.0% in 2024. This achievement marks the sixth consecutive year that the company has established itself as the top choice for gamers worldwide. Additionally, Samsung has also dominated the OLED monitor sector, achieving an impressive 34.6% share in this segment, just two years after launching its first OLED model.

Samsung’s growth in the gaming monitor world is attributed to its constant innovation and deep understanding of the needs of today’s gamers. Hoon Chung, Executive Vice President of the Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics, has commented that the company is dedicated to defining the future of gaming, focusing on delivering immersive experiences and superior performance in OLED technology.

One key to this success lies in the popular Odyssey gaming monitor lineup, which has become a cornerstone of the company’s strategy. This series includes various models that have set high standards in the industry. A standout example is the Odyssey 3D monitor, which innovatively allows for 3D gaming without the need for glasses, thanks to its eye-tracking technology and lenticular lenses. Another notable model, the Odyssey OLED G8, available in 27 and 32-inch versions, stands out for its 4K resolution at 240Hz and exceptional color accuracy. Additionally, the launch of the Odyssey OLED G6 is anticipated in the second half of 2025, promising to take speed and responsiveness to new levels for competitive gaming.

The Odyssey series monitors integrate Quantum Dot OLED technology, enhancing color accuracy, contrast, and brightness from all viewing angles. This makes them a preferred choice for gamers seeking both image quality and superior performance. To further optimize the gaming experience, all these models are compatible with NVIDIA G-SYNC and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, minimizing tearing and latency during gameplay.

The Odyssey 3D and Odyssey OLED G8 models are already available in the global market, while the Odyssey OLED G6 is expected to be launched by late 2025. Those interested in exploring more about Samsung’s gaming monitor offerings can visit their official website.
