Samsung Electronics has solidified its leadership in the soundbar market, being recognized for the eleventh consecutive year as the top-selling brand in this category, according to data from FutureSource Consulting. In 2024, the South Korean company achieved a 20.1% market share in revenue and an 18.4% share in sales volume, reaffirming its dominance in the premium audio industry since 2014.
Samsung’s sustained success is largely due to the immersive sound experience offered by its soundbars, which seamlessly integrate with the brand’s televisions. Their flagship model, the HW-Q990D, launched in 2024, has been particularly well-received, standing out for its Q-Symphony technology that enhances synergy between the soundbar and Samsung TVs. Additionally, it incorporates AI-driven audio optimization features, providing a unique home entertainment experience.
Samsung has received numerous accolades in the industry, with experts and tech media praising their products. Newsweek magazine awarded the HW-Q990D the prestigious Editors Choice award, describing it as “the best Dolby Atmos soundbar you can buy in 2024.” Likewise, the stylish HW-S800D soundbar was named Editor’s Choice by Techlicious, deemed “the perfect choice for those looking to enhance TV sound without sacrificing style or space.”
Looking ahead, Samsung is gearing up to release a new line of soundbars in 2025, promising enhanced surround sound with AI, along with refined audio connectivity and processing. This reaffirms their commitment to providing superior audio experiences to consumers globally.
Hun Lee, Executive Vice President of Samsung Electronics’ Visual Display Business, commented, “We are proud to be recognized as the global leader in soundbars for 11 consecutive years. This honor is a testament to our commitment to delivering premium audio experiences. We will continue to drive innovation in sound and usability to create an even more seamless and immersive home entertainment experience.”
