Samsung Electronics has announced today that they will be unveiling their latest line of energy-efficient appliances for the European lifestyle at IFA 2024. The new range of products includes a BESPOKE AI™ washing machine with 55% more energy efficiency, a Bespoke AI Laundry Combo™ with an A rating for the complete cycle, and a Bespoke dishwasher with an extra 10% in energy efficiency. Leveraging their long-standing dedication to improving energy efficiency, Samsung has perfected its core technologies to meet consumers’ needs for energy savings in their daily lives.
“Samsung has a long history of bringing their energy-efficient lineup to European markets, and IFA is an ideal stage to showcase these kinds of solutions,” commented Moohyung Lee, Executive Vice President and Head of the Customer Experience Team for the Digital Appliance Business at Samsung Electronics. “We hope that the new models will be the right choice for customers seeking greater energy efficiency at home.”
The standout achievement of Samsung’s range at IFA 2024 is the BESPOKE AI™ washing machine. The model, set to be launched next year, consumes up to 55% less energy than the minimum required for a Class A rating. The Bubble Shot technology, which sucks soapy water and sprays it onto the clothes inside the drum, and the Ecobubble™ algorithm significantly enhance energy efficiency.
Furthermore, the implementation of AI Home is another notable change. This 7-inch touchscreen LCD serves as an intuitive control center for laundry, allowing users to quickly choose their laundry cycles and receive personalized recommendations.
Samsung also introduces the Bespoke AI Laundry Combo™, which combines a washer and dryer in one machine. This model, soon to be available in the European market, achieves an A rating for the entire wash and dry cycle, with an additional 20% for the wash cycle only. The heat pump drying technology and enhanced duct structure improve efficiency by efficiently reusing and transferring thermal energy.
Another innovation is the Bespoke dishwasher, which not only stylishly fits in with kitchen furniture but also saves up to 10% more energy than required for an A energy rating. The WaterJet Clean™ system and Active Fan Dry drying system contribute to this efficiency by improving internal air circulation and reducing energy consumption.
Samsung has also integrated their new line with SmartThings’ AI power mode. This allows users to check daily, weekly, and monthly energy consumption and proactively activate the AI power mode to save energy. This mode can reduce energy consumption by up to 70% for the BESPOKE AI™ washer, up to 60% for the Bespoke AI™ laundry combo in washing and 30% in drying, and up to 21% for the dishwasher.
Visitors to IFA 2024, held in Berlin from September 6th to 10th, will be able to see Samsung’s new energy-efficient appliances at their booth. Currently, the Bespoke dishwasher is available in several European countries and the Bespoke AI Laundry Combo™ will be launched in the fourth quarter of this year in select European countries. The BESPOKE AI™ washing machine will be launched in different European countries early next year.
