Less than 100 days to go until the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, Samsung Electronics, a global partner of the Olympic and Paralympic Games, has officially launched its “Open always wins” campaign. This initiative celebrates the shared values of openness that the brand has in common with the Olympic and Paralympic Games. Additionally, Samsung announced the grand opening of its Olympic™️ rendezvous @ Samsung exhibition on Champs-Elysees 125, in the heart of Paris.
The “Open always wins” campaign, introduced in January, highlights Samsung’s belief that openness allows for new perspectives and endless possibilities. The campaign debuted with stories from Samsung Galaxy team members, such as skater Aurélien Giraud (France), Paralympic sprinter Johannes Floors (Germany), and breakdancer Sarah Bee (France), showcasing how openness enables extraordinary achievements.
TM Roh, President and Head of Mobile Communications Business at Samsung Electronics, stated: “As a global partner of the Olympic and Paralympic Games, Samsung has driven innovation and provided cutting-edge technology and experiences at the Games for nearly 40 years. The way we enjoy the Games has evolved dramatically over time, and technology plays a crucial role in bringing the Olympic spirit to life. We are excited to bring fans and athletes closer than ever, opening up new experiences and meaningful connections at Paris 2024 with our ‘Open always wins’ campaign.”
Samsung also unveiled a new exhibition, Olympic™️ rendezvous @ Samsung | Champs-Elysees 125, designed by award-winning Pritzker Prize architect Jean Nouvel. Inspired by the Parisian Salons of the Enlightenment Era, the space celebrates openness to new perspectives and possibilities through reflections and optical illusions that evoke sensations of openness, harmony, and connection.
The opening of Olympic™️ rendezvous @ Samsung | Champs-Elysees 125 featured a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by TM Roh and Samsung Galaxy team ambassadors, such as French surfer Joanne Defay, British breakdancer Karam Singh, and French Paralympic swimmer Ugo Didier. Also in attendance were Anne-Sophie Voumard, Managing Director of Television and Marketing Services at the International Olympic Committee, Pierre Rabadan, Deputy Mayor Delegate for the Olympic and Paralympic Games for the City of Paris, and Étienne Thobois, CEO of the Paris 2024 Organizing Committee.
Anne-Sophie Voumard remarked: “We are thrilled to see our shared values celebrated in these ‘Open Door Games’ at this Olympic™️ rendezvous @ Samsung. Samsung has played a crucial role in enhancing the fan experience at the Olympic Games through their innovative technology for decades, and we are impressed to see them take this to the next level with this exhibition and the many ways they will support the realization of the upcoming Olympic and Paralympic Games here in Paris.”
The Olympic™️ rendezvous @ Samsung exhibition, located at 125 Avenue des Champs-Élysées, will open to the public on May 3 and will be available until October 31, from 10:00 to 20:00 Monday to Saturday and 11:00 to 20:00 on Sundays. Special events will be held during the summer and it will be open to all who wish to immerse themselves in the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Additionally, Samsung will open more Olympic™️ rendezvous @ Samsung spaces throughout the city, including the Olympic Park, the Olympic and Paralympic Village, and the Main Press Center, as well as Samsung Galaxy charging stations at key Games venues.
