Samsung Electronics, a recognized global Olympic and Paralympic partner, will use Galaxy technology to enhance experiences during the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games. The company aims to create unforgettable memories for athletes and fans, supporting the event with its latest mobile technology.
Samsung’s motto for Paris 2024 is “Open always wins,” conveying the idea that an open mind turns every new experience into a significant achievement. This message celebrates the mindset and resilience of Paralympic athletes. Stephanie Choi, Executive Vice President and Head of Marketing for Mobile eXperience Business at Samsung Electronics, stated that the company is proud to continue providing the best possible experience for everyone during the Games.
Since its partnership with the Paralympic Games in Torino 2006, Samsung has worked to engage and inspire fans, increasing visibility for the Paralympic Movement. In previous events like Sochi 2014 and PyeongChang 2018, Samsung’s technology allowed visitors to understand the challenges of visually impaired individuals through immersive experiences.
For Paris 2024, Samsung supports its team of Samsung Galaxy athletes, including prominent figures like Yvan Wouandji, Johannes Floors, Madison De Rozario, Ugo Didier, Hee-jin Kim, Kadeena Cox, and Desirée Vila. The athletes have expressed their gratitude towards Samsung. Ugo Didier highlighted the importance of the Games in his country and the opportunity to show that with dedication, world-class achievements can be reached. Madison De Rozario emphasized the crucial role of technology in connecting athletes with fans. Johannes Floors underscored the importance of innovation and the open mindset shared with Samsung.
Samsung will also release its film “Voices of Galaxy” in May, focusing on Johannes Floors and his motivation. Additionally, it will provide around 5,000 Galaxy Z Flip6 Olympic Edition smartphones to athletes, equipped with services and applications designed to enhance their experience in Paris. Key features include “Interpreter,” which translates live conversations, and “Bixby Vision for Accessibility,” providing auditory descriptions of images and surroundings, as well as “Relúmĭno outline,” which improves visibility.
The company will also introduce a new collection of Olympic Games pins, featuring 16 designs including four Paralympic sports. Fans will have the opportunity to win a Galaxy Z Flip6 and a travel package to attend the Milan Cortina 2026 Winter Games. Samsung will invite visitors to enjoy its technology and live the Games in their immersive experiences during the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games.
