Sika Strengthens Its Role as Integrator in Industrialized Construction at Rebuild

Sika has taken a significant step forward at the REBUILD 2026 event by unveiling its new campaign, “Uniting the Process, Driving Change.” This initiative aims to redefine the construction landscape in Spain. This move marks an evolution from the previously launched “The Industrialized Revolution” campaign, focusing specifically on effectively integrating different phases of the construction process: design, manufacture, and execution.

In a country grappling with a housing deficit and the need to increase the productivity of the sector, Gonzalo Causin, CEO of Sika, has emphasized the critical importance of industrialization. “It’s not an option; it’s the only way to address the structural housing challenge in Spain,” he stated, positioning Sika as a key player in the transformation of the national construction model towards a more efficient and collaborative one.

The rollout of this campaign comes at a crucial time for the industry, where the need for new housing solutions is more pressing than ever. Sika maintains that industrialization is the appropriate and necessary response to these challenges, and under its new slogan, the company seeks to improve interdepartmental coordination, leading to more efficient and high-quality projects. This shift towards a more integrated model aims to overcome the sector’s classic fragmentation, allowing for more sustainable developments.

Moreover, Sika positions itself as a key technological ally, providing support and tailor-made solutions from the conception to the final execution of the project. In this regard, it offers specialized services with engineers who adapt specific solutions, thus optimizing the profitability and sustainability of projects.

Sika’s commitment to innovation results in significant improvements in manufacturing processes and materials, streamlining processes and reducing carbon footprint while increasing the durability of buildings. The company is focused on covering a wide range of needs, from structural safety and acoustic comfort to climate protection and reinforcement solutions.

Sustainability is a central pillar in this strategy, aiming to minimize environmental impact and improve the efficiency of buildings throughout their entire life cycle. With industrialized construction representing a modest 1% to 2% of the sector in Spain but expected to grow to 10% by 2030, Sika is strategically positioned to capitalize on this change.

In this context, Sika acts as a technological partner that integrates various areas of the project, collaborating with architects and construction companies. Daniel Vallespín, director of the Industry Division, highlights the importance of technical support, leveraging the company’s vast experience in optimizing industrial processes.

Through this new vision, Sika reaffirms its role as an integrator in a sector that needs to adapt quickly. For Gonzalo Causin, the challenge is not only to build more but to do so in a significantly smarter way.
