Sodena and Stellum Capital have sealed a collaboration agreement aimed at financially empowering innovative startups that complete their acceleration process at BerriUp in Navarra. This agreement will allow both entities to co-invest in projects that receive funding once the mentioned program is completed.
Stellum Capital will make investments through its vehicle Easo Ventures, a strategy focused on supporting and guiding high-growth potential companies in their early stages. Sodena, a public entity of the Government of Navarra, commits to matching Easo Ventures’ investment on the same terms, providing significant support to the entrepreneurial ecosystem of the region.
The financial support that Easo Ventures will provide to BerriUp projects will start at 50,000 euros, in exchange for a stake in the company’s equity to be negotiated individually. Both the amount invested and the percentage of participation can be adjusted according to the development stage of each startup. This agreement is a significant step towards strengthening funding for innovative initiatives, ensuring that Sodena takes on the same financial risk as Easo Ventures.
Furthermore, this collaboration reinforces the mission of Artizarra Fundazioa, the entity behind Stellum Capital, which aims to build partnerships with public and private organizations to generate a positive social and economic impact in Navarra and Euskadi. Since 2022, when “root funds” were established to support the growth of medium and large companies in Navarra, the relationship between Sodena and Stellum Capital has evolved, with the former backing three out of the four investment vehicles operated by Stellum Capital.
Iñaki Larraya, managing director of Sodena, emphasized that this agreement “strengthens our commitment to entrepreneurship and innovation, facilitating access to funding for high-growth potential startups in Navarra”. Pedro Muñoz-Baroja, Managing Partner of Easo Ventures, stated that “this agreement improves the support conditions for Navarran startups participating in the BerriUp acceleration program”, highlighting the importance of public-private collaboration for the development of the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
